The Dreaded Yeast Infection

Most babies have had a yeast infection at one time or another. It is usually suspected after treating a "diaper rash" that just doesn't seem to go away. Yeast infections usually have a red "beefy" appearance. They seem to spread more then a typical diaper rash and sometimes even have some white spots over the red rash. Google it if you would like to compare some pictures. I'll spare that here.

My one year old baby girl had what I thought was a nasty diaper rash. I started with a tsp of coconut oil and two drops of lavender oil and two drops of melaleuca oil and would rub that on her every diaper change. It definitely calmed the rash down but as soon as she would have another wet or soiled diaper the rash would reappear. I then started to suspect it was a yeast infection. I had read the first treatment for vaginal yeast infection was rosemary (which I didn't have any). I called my wonderful friend who had some and let me borrow a small vial). Each diaper change I would combined one tsp of coconut oil and 2 drops of rosemary and one drop of lavender (for soothing). My friend also suggested putting oregano on her feet every diaper change. Within 12 hours I've seen significant improvements in her rash. It is almost completely gone. I will continue the rosemary treatment until the symptoms are gone and the oregano on the feet for a few days after the rash is completely gone.

Simply put what worked for us....

Vaginal Yeast Infection (for babies, children and adults)

1 tsp coconut oil
2 drops of Rosemary Essential Oil
1 drops of Lavender Essential Oil

Rub over rash every diaper change

Also, 1 or 2 drops of Oregano Essential Oil on soles of feet every diaper change (or every time you use the bathroom)

Finding Sucess with Essential Oils

Thought I start a record of my successes in treating my family with Doterra Essential Oils. We've seen great results and hope this is a start to something new for our lives and health. My husband is in graduate school, we don't have a lot of money, or time, my life is sometimes a chaotic mess, but thought we'd give this a shot.
